On June 8, 2017, former NBA star Cliff Robinson will launch his Uncle Cliffy cannabis products in Portland at Oregon’s Finest on 736 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

According to a company press release, Robinson will mark the launch of his Uncle Cliffy cannabis products by making an appearance at 4:20 p.m. at Oregon’s Finest, where the dispensary will debut an Uncle Cliffy GG4 pre-roll and a J1 pre-roll.

The pre-rolls will also be available at the Oregon’s Finest location at 1327 NW Kearney St. in Portland, as well as at Talent Health Club in Talent and the Medication Station on the Oregon Coast this weekend. Uncle Cliffy’s pre-rolls use cannabis cultivated by Pistil Point Farms in Portland.

The Portland Trail Blazers drafted Robinson in 1989 and he stayed on with the team for eight seasons. Over an 18-year career, Robinson played for four other teams in the NBA, but returned to live in Portland after his retirement from professional basketball. He announced his intention of launching a cannabis business at the beginning of 2016.

According to the Uncle Cliffy press release, “The Uncle Cliffy sports cannabis company was created to end the stigma surrounding cannabis and sports, and to be a voice for athletes that choose to consume cannabis. Uncle Cliffy also fights cannabis prohibition in society because prohibition has failed and has had a disproportionate impact on minority communities.”
